In 2019 we all know that we need to push marketing activities in order to boost our business. Without a proper plan and a plan to measure performance, it is not much more than shooting in dark. 

During the workshop, I will teach you the evaluation method that has been proven to work with my clients. You will learn how to overhaul a marketing system and identify the key areas of improvement. 

 

We are going to

- evaluate your current processes

- check if you actually measure data properly

- define buyer personas and targeted messages

- do competitor analysis

- brainstorm ideas

- discover your low hanging fruit opportunities

- find your advertising channels

- brainstorm

 

At the end of the workshop, you will have a draft plan to take away with you and a the knowledge of how to think and act strategically in marketing.

During my career as a marketer, I have helped multinational brands launch their presence within Hungary and created countless marketing strategies for small and medium enterprises.

This experience has taught me that marketing should be treated as a system similar to the human body. A system with a problem such as a broken leg or ineffective marketing strategy can still function suitably but also has the potential to perform much more efficiently by creating healthy habits and stopping the ones that hold it back.

Description

"Degrowth" has emerged over the last 15 years. This "bomb word" has been used to open in-depth debates on whether infinite growth in a finite world is desirable or even possible. Degrowth first deconstructs the myth that growth is the central solution for the impasse our societies have led us to. The movement tries to understand the convergence of the crises we are experiencing and argues that energetic and various environmental, political and existential, economic and social crises are interconnected. Our society's "more and more" attitude and the push towards increased production and consumption is not sustainable as we are now facing global warming, biodiversity loss, and the end of cheap and easy extraction and production of raw materials such as fossil energies and metals – in particular the ones used in "renewable" energies.

 

Startups aim to find solutions toward the XXIst Century challenges... but how to avoid repeating the same mistakes?

 

Vincent Liegey is the  co-author of A Degrowth Project, engineer, consultant and interdisciplinary researcher. Coordinator of the Degrowth inspired Cargonomia social cooperative, center for sustainable logistical solutions and local food distribution by cargobikes in Budapest.

He is also one of the coordinators of the international Degrowth conference support group.
