The shortest path is not always the straight one - this is especially true for just launched technology startups. You can't build a successful startup without a few failures. We need to expect that we will need to adjust course and that we might even need to reject lucrative short term projects for the greater good. In this presentation Balazs Scheidler explains the kind of difficulties they needed to overcome at the starting of their company, how they acquired the first customers and how they eventually succeeded in their international initiatives. Balazs brings forward specific examples from the ~20 years history of Balabit, a globally successful Hungarian startup. (Balabit has been acquired by One Identity in January 2018  - this was the most successful exit of the year 2018).
